About Me
I’m Joseph Fox — a mathematician and investor. Most of my time is devoted to managing investments through Ottava Holdings Ltd and deepening my studies in mathematics and finance, with a particular focus on Bayesian statistics and financial modelling.
I hold degrees in AI and mathematics, and that background gives me a blend of technical and analytical thinking that shapes the way I manage investments. My philosophy combines rigorous, evidence-based modelling with a long-term, value-focused approach, grounded in the tools and realities of today’s markets.
Beyond numbers, I’m a classical pianist with a particular affinity for Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach. I’m also non-binary, and that perspective informs how I move through the world: independently, with clarity, and without compromise on authenticity.
I tend to move through life the way I approach a proof or an investment: slowly, with curiosity, and with an eye on what will still matter in ten or twenty years. I’m not especially interested in status games or noise. I care about clear thinking, honest numbers, and building structures that quietly keep working in the background so people can get on with living their lives. Operating independently suits me: it lets me hold unconventional views when they’re justified, change my mind when the evidence changes, and stay aligned with my own values rather than anyone else’s agenda.
This blog is where those threads come together — finance, mathematics, and technology — interwoven with reflections on living deliberately and thinking clearly about risk, time, and meaning.
